project overview
how deep is the water? women's anger: a taboo. unseen, suppressed, dismissed. hysterical, exaggerated, irrational. the project fischer, fischer approaches — loudly, physically, unfiltered — what it means to be an angry woman. figurative portraits enter into dialogue with abstract images of textures, water and color gradients, making the world of the angry woman tangible. anger is like water. it boils over, gets held back, builds up and spills over. water is used throughout the series as a deliberate, conceptual symbol for anger.
